Board of Directors
CCS is governed by a Board of Directors which is comprised of representatives from all seven county health departments, departments of social services, hospitals, and representative physician leadership from the communities. The CCS Board membership actively participates in other state entities including:
- North Carolina Institute of Medicine
- North Carolina Medical Society
- North Carolina Academy of Family Physicians
- North Carolina Physician Advisory Group
- North Carolina Area Health Education Centers
- North Carolina Healthcare Information and Communications Alliance
The Board meets quarterly to manage and oversee CCS activities. Working committees, such as finance, information technology, and human resources have been established to work in concert with the CCS leadership on targeted activities.
